“Put it back.”

I watch the window,

Lock the door,

Distract my eyes –

After checking the blinds

From inside, and out

To go unnoticed within,

Yet still alert 

To passersby –

Wish to God I didn’t, 

But that Sense

Too fine-tuned

My mind, it fights

To be at ease

So please –

Just keep off my porch.
