Razor discarded –
conquered lack of confidence,
these unshaven calves ~

Who am I to speak
on such sensitivities?
Some perceive me brash ~

Well so what? Cheeks flush –
they do – I am not without Pride,
but I fight Its rule ~

But there was a line
from 1923¹, like –
‘…no need existed…’

Some out there would say
these legs offend, wouldn’t they?
They’re unwomanly ~

A gross assumption
deconstructed through actions
made in defiance ~

I am not confined
by my teaching; discomfort
tones my sense of self ~
