pre-written and everything.
After Roe v. Wade,
we protested,
we pleaded,
yet women have suffered,
and many more will.
Without birthright citizenship –
well how can it be “a life began”
before she knew
that what is now now inside her womb
had better be out by February
if she wants to go on living here?
Immediate actions,
executively fashioned
– seats turned and deals struck –
behind the scenes:
Naming the problem
and assigning the blame;
Hero-casting the myth
“Only HE can save the day!”
These are Nazi tactics.
This is how it looks
when democracy is threatened.
They won fair and square –
took the biggest share
of our will –
And they will take your rights away
without thanks.
